Meet Dr. Landers

Leona Landers, O.D.

Dr. Landers is a graduate of the University of California School of Optometry and received the degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1983. She is board certified and has been in private practice in San Francisco since 1986.

In addition to being past president of the San Francisco Optometry Association, Dr. Landers is a member of other professional associations, including the American Optometry Association, the California Optometric Association. The California State Board of Optometry selected her to be an expert examiner and served in helping determine the qualifications of new graduating doctors.

Dr. Landers has extensive experience in contact lenses and is a member of the Contact Lens section of the American Optometric Association. She is known as a skilled diagnostician and contact-lens problem solver and has been a clinical contact lens investigator for several contact lens companies. Her current practice has fit over 1,000,000 contact lenses.

Dr. Landers also specializes in VDT and vision. She is only a handful of doctors who have a special certification in this area.
